Too much opinionated hate here. It doesn't matter what anyone says because it must be acknowledged that Miyamato is a game developer "god," and at the very least his classic franchises are worth the purchase of the Wii. Because of that, the Wii is hardcore because hardcore gamers once and are still playing those games. Whether or not his games are your type, there is no way around seeing this. This doesn't really mean that they are better that SONY development teams. SONY development teams have steadly increased in quality and quantitysince the days of the PSOne. There is just so much that they have to offer, period, which is reflected in the size of their combined studios. I don't see why anyone would have any problems with this which isn't taking anything away from Nintendo and to a lesser degree Microsoft. Maybe some of you are feeling the pressure of possibly missing out on SONY's offerings?
