Ps1 , Ps2 , SNES.

i think they're is more tho.

All three of those systems started off fast out of the gate.

I'd believe the PS2 started out fast (I think it sold a million in Japan in 3 days), but the PS1? It started off even more slowly than the PS3. As for America and Europe, I'd love to see some evidence for the PS1 starting off quickly in those regions. I'd actually appreciate the sources. And with the SNES, well...impress me.

The SNES and Sega Gensis were tied in the US in April 1992.

SNES released August 1991.

Gensis released in August 1989.

The USA was 50% of Sega's sales.

In 6 months the SNES caught up with the System ahead of it... in it's largest market.  Impressed?

Also.  For the PS1?  Seriously... comparing PS1 with PS3.  I mean the SNES looks poorly compared to the PS3 too.

Compare it to the Saturn and you get a different conclusion.

The Saturn being the console you should compare it to based on the question.

Fixed...

OP: DS started slow until the DS Lite... PS1 at least in Japan started slow (and the Saturn beating it)... SNES didn't start slow, it faced competition but it was never slow...
