Seriously, PS3 as an hardware marketed toward the mass was a epic failure... No on can deny it. However, even with such an epic failure PS3 has hold on pretty well. Just looking at the SAME GAME, release at the SAME time, on both PS3 and X360 would really reveal how strong PS3's fanbase is comitted to the PS brand...
For Koei's game Dynasty Warrior, the PS3 version of their latest Dynasty Warrior was a CLEAR winner.
Capcom's DMC 4, and RE 5, the PS3 version takes a lead yet again but much smaller.
Enchanted Arms for the PS3 ALSO sold more on the PS3..
The only game I could think of sold lower numbers was Eternal Sonata, and I really can't defend why it sold lower besides the fact it came out much later.
But my real point is that despite the lower console numbers, the JP games definitely do great on the PS3. I mean can M$ keep burning through stacks of cash to get exclusive in that area? Or the JP dev finally is going to do some stuff on the PS3.
Some games to look out for:
Last Remnant releasing this week end in Japan on the PS3 and PC, would really be interesting to see the numbers to X360 version.
Tales of Vesperia also announced for the PS3 port ... that'd DEFINITELY be a nice thing to see. As others, with ToV being the first "X360 Exclusive" turned PS3, I'd suspect Starocean 4 to follow pretty soon near the end of this year. Anyone want to add their tidbits?
