lol i work at gamestop too, so i know exactly what he's talking about. yeah, it's our duty to help the customers no matter what. and we do, that's what we get paid for. the customer who treats us like a burger king and just walks up to place his order, yeah, we'll attend to his needs, but it's still annoying and selfish. if he wants to know if we have it before he wastes time looking for it, that's no big deal. but then just saying "k.. i'll take it" is just irritating. you have to realize that gamestop employees or any other retail employees are human beings too, not just your personal servants. the only reason you get away with treating us like that is because we want to get paid.
as for gamedays.. i honestly laughed when i saw it on the front page of vgchartz. seriously? is it that big of news? granted, there are some good deals on there, but the majority of it is just us trying to get shitty games nobody wants out of our inventory. and it is a complete bitch to work during that time. yesterday was the worst. we had the start of gamedays, the DSi launch and marketing all rolled into one. and i have to close tonight, yay! i gotta focus on selling edge cards and reservations because if i don't get good numbers, my hours get cut! :D
