Its a fair question to ask, and i'm sure it's been thoroughly answered by now (too lazy to look through all the replies), but some of what i've read holds true: some multiconsole owners prefer Wii controls, some multiconsole owners just enjoy FPS period, and want to play it on Wii too. Some multiconsole owners don't, and that's fine too. It depends on what you want out of a game, and what attracts you.
Hell, i know quite a few Wii owners who are avoiding this game specifically because it's trying to be a generic FPS, so it works both ways.
