My nephew has a PSP. It's more of a console experience on the go. The DS is more of a creative experience. It has more "bite sized" games too. I can play a DS game for 10-15 minutes, and feel satisfied. I think PSP games tend to require more dedication (I'm generalizing because, I've only played Star Wars Battlefront :P). It's probably more your thing, though. Go on youtube and watch videos of games you think you may like. If it looks like your thing, buy it. In the end, it's all about your happiness.
