We had tentative plans for the Symphony. In other words, we (boss and I) would use our contacts to get tickets for a given night where a group of us would be in a balcony. However, the tickets have not been bought (to my knowlege) and no official calendar date was given.

That is still an option, but when I was invited to a party at a record producer's house I asked if I could bring a date knowing that since the dancer wants to start a music career, she would jump on the party opportunity.

So last 1 am, I wrote her that the Symphony plan was on the backburner while I put the party that could lead to her living her actual dream on the frontburner on max power with the cover on.

EDIT: So what I tried to do is convert our implied enjoyable date into an overt potentially career forwarding, life changing date.
