Last time I checked most western countries are not theocracies and thus not explicably bound by the tenants of any one religion. I have no issue with a church not allowing gay marriage if thats there choice, but that shouldn't mean that gay marriage itself should be illegal.
I hope someone creates a gay religion, then it'd be alright because it'd be a truly "religious" ceremony. No heterosexual couples allowed.
