I have finished the game, maybe you haven't really played it?
- Over the shoulder camera (also in the excellent RE4)
- Muscular, macho character hero
- Take cover and out mechanic (although only at specific parts)
- Environment and style is miles away from classic RE even RE4, approaches futuristic, similar colour pallet
- No puzzles whatsoever
All of the above points are in GoW, not necessarily exclusive in GoW as they can be seen in other modern FPS.
