I'm sorry, is number five on your list set in Rapture or not? I kind of forget. |

Bloody, gut ridden, and full of bulletholes, the fact that Rapture still is able to make this list is nothing short of amazing. I'm not simply going for most detailed, but most thrilling and fascinating to look at, and Bioshock scores winning points on all graphical levels. Stunning special effects and detailed, semi-open world environments make Bioshock a good looking game. What really tops the hat, is the art direction. That, coupled with its still-unsurpassed water effects of course. Truly inspiring, the Art-Deco theme really makes you think back to the time when that forgotten art was really perfected. What is art nowadays, anyway?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
