I agree with his idea that Wii has changed the future of games. That the next gen will be about interface not graphics and OnLine can't move with that so it's already dated itself.
However I disagree people won't accept a rental model. That's stupid IMO because people already have with movie services and netflix. Now if they have to pay a subscription fee and a rental fee, that might prove problematic but we don't know yet.
Frankly most games now can be beaten in a day. So sure, why not pay $5 (or whatever) play through the game and then pay $5 tomorrow for a totally different game. Suddenly $70 gets you 14 games not 1.
