You are confusing "leading" with "some word that dosn't mean leading".

The PSP will never provide Japanese developers with an installbase like that of the DS. It will not happen. To that end, it is always going to be better to put games on the DS, at least in terms of return-on-investment.

No number of imaginary games will have the same impact on the Japanese buying trends that Dragon Quest will have.

I will bet you 1,000 VGChartz dollars that PSP will sell 70,000,000 or more units ltd.

This has absolutely nothing to do with what we're talking about.

But if you mean in Japan? Sure. You're on.

No, I mean worldwide because you seem to be rather emphatic in your statement that PSP will never be a huge success.

Do not be absurd. The PSP is already a success. What I said was this:

There is a big difference, here.

Of course now that the PSP has an install base very close to 12 million in Japan, then there is every reason to believe that it is providing developers every bit the same impetus to develop new games for it that the DS had when it had an install base of 12 million in Japan, and I believe there were games in development for the DS in Japan when its install base was at 12 million that helped it to reach the install base of 26 million that it has now?  I think Square would have put DQIX on PSP instead of DS if they had had any idea how successful PSP was going to start to become last year.  Just as they have FFXIII Agito and two Kingdom Hearts games headed exclusively to the PSP.  Other than DQIX and the Kingdom Hearts Four Swords game what game has Square announced as coming to the DS that wasn't released more than ten years ago on another console?

I believe DQ IX was announced for the DS when it had an install base less than that of the PSP now, so there is every bit of a reason to believe that Square could have more top tier rpgs in development for PSP than the ones they have so far announced.

The PSP has technical specifications that the DS can't match that Japanese developers might want to take advantage of in the fact that it has better graphics and sound capabilities than the DS and that it can be connected to a tv to output a video signal there as well.

Finally, the PSP and its install base is larger than the Wiis and this could also give Japanese developers more impetus to put games upon the PSP than the Wii and this could be evident from in the fact that the PSP outsells the Wii every week in Japan, and I feel that the PSP being more successful than the Wii is also helping the PS3 be as successful as it has been recently against the Wii.
