Yes, the main market where the least selling console is your main target market? That's not logical sense.

We haven't got anything to compare 360s reliable JRPG market to except White Knight Chronicles, a new game and new franchise. Star Ocean 4 has sold 200k or so in Japan on the 360, this is way down on Star Ocean 2 and 3 figures (both night on reaching a million or over world wide but Japan is it's main market) and less then a WKC on PS3 which has sold 340k. If SO4 was on Wii or PS3 it would have done better, there is no question.

Yes, but having a reliable audience means you can greatly reduce the risk in budgetting. You're almost guaranteed to sell 100k on 360. That means you can budget the game that way to break even on Japan and profit from any copies you sell in the West. Please note that I don't make conclusions here, only arguing reasons for each game on each system.

Depends what you mean by reliable. The JRPGs that have been released on 360 in Japan are mostly big named ones or by big name companies but this reliable audience hasn't even been able to help a well established franchise like Star Ocean outsell an unknown new game.

100k on 1million, that's what 10% garrenteed, even 5% on Wii or PS3 is enough to ousell and make it a viable option to put a game on the systems over the 360.

Hmm, pie.
