The pricing of the Wii is high enough that people won't just buy it recklessly, unless they are some kind of materialist. If I were the average consumer and see the £179 price tag, would I recklessly spend nearly 10% of my monthly income after tax in such a jiffy?
Whereas if I were feeling hungry, I'd probably walk into a McDonald's in the heat of the moment and buy a £3.79 value meal since it hardly costs anything.
