6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 for me. I've never liked having more than one save file simultaneously, unless i'm copying a save merely to create a checkpoint of sorts. Never played Fallout 3, and by the time i reach the boss in Megaman, i'm generally too focused on the task at hand to screw around.
