Quoting directly from the 1up show now, just because I think this is hilarious:

Shane: It isn't like the Dual Shock 2. It feels different... it feels new.

Ryan: It is new. It's new tech. It's totally next gen rumble.  

Shane: I think it's better than the Wii rumble, I think it's slightly better than the 360 rumble.

 

 

Just so we're all aware, the 360 rumble and PS3 rumble are exactly the same tech used in exactly the same way.
