Well, for one, those of us that aren't in school/college anymore don't care about references.

Besides that, Wikipedia is earning respect and acceptance among schools nowadays. And even if it's not, you can just use the sources that Wikipedia cites and still reach the same verdict.

 

Agreed - all of my physics professors tell us that wiki is a valid source - I don't think they would accept Encarta as it is not technical enough
