I haven't read pages 2-6, but just in case nobody added this, Microsoft is not scared of Sony with regards to the video game industry. They are scared for the sake of Windows. Playstation was the intended disruptor of the windows PC, Microsoft is in the console war for that sole reason. If they can make a profit out of it eventually, that will be a bonus (although they will still try to make the most out of their gaming division nonetheless).
