That's how polls works.

They asked last year 700-1000 citizens 'who is your favourite candidate to be president Obama or MC Cain'
And Obama won....

It is like watching the news and then have to hear that 60% of the youth in the USA has smoked a joint before they were 16. while they only asked 1.000 teens.

No that's a very small sample size compared to the country of 130M.  And they used multiple polls in the election and averaged them.
