Ska Studios

Ska Studios started with one person, James E. Silva, who did everything for his XNA-developed game called The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai—programming, music, sound effects, artwork and level design. He is a one-man studio and developed this after hours while working full time at a job (which he has quit after winning Microsoft's Dream-Build-Play competition in 2007, which awarded him an XBLA publishing contract). His inspiration for the game comes from having been a dishwasher himself and being a fan of Bruce Lee who also happened to have been a dishwasher. According to James, they simply don’t get any respect and it was time for them to be thrust into the hero’s role. He has since co-authored a book called "Building XNA 2.0 Games."
