Recently had the opportunity to pick up both games on PSP and PS2 for cheap. After playing it for a while, the battle system strikes me as lacking-depth.
Okay, so I time the attacks to get large chain values which increases my damage? And all the customization is done such that, that character hits for a bigger number???
The game seems too simple, or am I missing something. Anyone care to explain to me how to enjoy Valkyrie Profile 1 and 2.
Oh and I am playing Valkyrie Profile 3 on the DS. Very neat and compelling game except for the fact that it has massively bad level designs and non-existent AI.
