Sony is actually doing quite a bit for the PS3. They have expanded their advertising budget. They released that exclusive Target bundle. They keep adding new features to make the console have even greater value to the consumer.

The problem isnt even sales as sales wise the PS3 has been very successful as it has been outselling the Xbox 360 in the same time frame. Its pretty obvious that if the Xbox 360 wasnt released a year before it wouldnt have the lead it has, if at all.

I think really all that is needed is the economy to turn around. Yes a price cut would help but really it wouldnt effect much. Sony should rake in as much money as they can till the holiday before dropping the price.

Future bundles could be an interesting summer twist though, a MotorStorm bundle with MotorStorm and MotorStorm Pacific Rift. Or Resistance bundle with both games.

All I say is Sony will be a-ok if the Yen quits being so damn strong.

I wonder what things would look like if the Yen had never spiked.

I have a feeling Sony originally planned to drop the price of the ps2 and ps3 simultaneously on April 5th.  That would've been one hell of a one-two punch.
