I did play both games to the end. I enjoyed some parts of Galaxy, certainly. (It's the best game I've played on the Wii beyond Wii sports). But again, I didn't get a "Wow" factor after playing it. I mean you get to run up some walls and do different things with gravity. But beyond that? Just seemed pretty basic. The jumping was similar to 64. To me it was Mario 64 in space. I thought the camera angles were somewhat annoying throughout the game (Which was apparently part of the challenge).
It seems to me that more people will enjoy Mario more simply because of the game genre it belongs to and most people voting that way don't really 'enjoy' MGS4 games. Anyone can pickup and play a Mario game easily and jump right into the action so to speak. Metal Gear Solid 4 is far more of a niche genre (IMO) and being the fourth in a series it somewhat assumes that you've played others in the series.

that people part wasn't meant for people that played through them lol, i just forgot to seperate it with enters. well, of course you won't have the WOW factor because 64 was the first of it's kind back in the day, I'm simply comparing the 2 games is all, it is a better game, just no more WOW, you know?
I don't think MGS4 is bad or anything, it just didn't feel like a game a lot of the times, and the plots don't always make good sense with good logic if you can pin point the problems in them, it was kinda over done. but of course, that's only my opinion, I'm sure the die hard fans wouldn't agree with me.
