Not so.
I think Metal Gear Solid 4 is is the apotheosis of stealth action gameplay sandwiched between story elements that really got in the way of said stealth action gameplay.
I think Mario Galaxy is the apotheosis of pplatformer gameplay which is better than MGS4 because it is a perfect synthesis of the elements I enjoy without separating me from the experience of playing it in any way. It's all game.
I choose Galaxy.
