They're rarely far enough away to where either number would be considered inaccurate....

and after another week or two the numbers are "magically" back in line with each other.  In which case by the jump it's easy to see who messed up... and it's just as often one as it is the other.

I thought one of them had it around 21.5 million, and the other almost 22.5 million.


That's only a 10% statistical variance.  That's at the edge but it's not unreasonable when you consider that both numbers are estimates with statstical variance.

I mean assuming both had a reliability of being withing 5% of the real number They could be as much as 10% apart before you could say one of the two was off.

I think the accepted they have is usually like 5-10% each.
