All kinds depending on the denomination.  For example Confession if you're a catholic.

The primary one though being religious instruction.

What makes a church different then say... a guy who plays music on the street with hat for donations... other then scope?

Or a drama group that runs on donations.

Priests get paid don't they?  Heck some of these Evangelical churches make a KILLING.  Why?  They provide the "brand" of Christianity in demand in that area.

The church of England makes over 1 billion pounds a year.
