Motion plus may appeal to the average customer enough, just recently my sister said how cool it would be if Zelda had realistic sword movement.
Edit: Not that their next console will be anything like that. They won't upgrade the box until there's a user experience that requires more processing power in the box, until then they'll just keep improving the user experience with add-ons etc.
