Judith and Rita (and Estelle, I suppose) were awesome. If anything, they were some of the more interesting characters from Tales of Vesperia (Carol and Repede were ok, but I didn't particularly grow fond of them). Yuri was a great main character.
For the most part, Edge from The Last Hope was a pretty strong character. He did have the one whiny spell after that unfortunate trip on a certain planet (I wont give any spoilers
).
