Your going through the trouble of annuling a contract with someone who you don't beleive exists.

So that the church doesn't go "we have ________ number of people baptized, therefore they are religious." When that happens the other guys say, "yeah well, we have ____________ number of people who de-batized."

No... it's a giant cashgrab scheme.

Churches don't publish numbers of people baptised.  It even says so in the article posted above.
