In reality, does anyone really care about the PS2 now? I remember 2 years ago, Asda (the UK's Walmart) did a £50 special (about $80 including Taxes at the time), although there was limited stock, they went quickly, but now here we are nearly 2 years later and Sony may be reducing the PS2 to $99.

I can remember the last time I actually saw a brand new PS2 for sale anywhere in the UK.

If it's gonna mean anything, there needs to be a very positive move by Sony to cut costs of the PS3 and PSP (in preparation for the next iteration). Seeing as the DSi is coming out next month and at quite a high pricepoint, a £99 PSP would be a god send IMHO for the UK. Also seeing as the chip sizes are coming down along with BR prices, we should be in line for a PS3 pricecut....yes they are losing money...but they will lose a hell of a lot more money if they don't sell units hence sell games and make royalties etc. So a £249 pack in the UK with 2 games and 1 BR would be good for the moment, with a cut to £199 in time for Xmas with no games.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)
