We were stuck together by national pride and American values. We did not give a rat's ass about party, idealogy, about what my neighbor did with my lawnmower, or what have you. We were essentially one...a country with high hopes for the future. Now we are a complaining country debating who is to blame at every thing gone wrong whether it is gas prices, the economy, or not enough ketchup on our fries. It is utterly rediculous to think that we cannot get together for the benefit of the country. If we cannot, then the future of the USA is that of a fragmented, anarchist state where chaos rule supreme and the majority is cast aside for the supremacy of the few. History will be repeated and out of the ashes we will face a decision: do we work together or do we abandon all hope for a better tomorrow for ourselves and our posterity. I would rather choose the former 110% of the time.
This is the rationale of the site. It may contain one-liners about things that draw in conservatives (God, nationalism) but it is about something grander--it is about how do we as Americans look for a better tommorow.

American values? What are those? Are they different from the potential values of any other country or person residing within? At times I find it hard to communicate with you because I feel I'm talking to an interactive pamphlet. You don't seem to talk to people as much as you talk catch phrases and one liners about common place stuff I'd find on the back of an Ann Coulter novel to assist with sales.
If you want to talk to me about that day then don't mask it, sugar coat it, or turn it into a fucking rosy utopia. Come back down to reality. Recall what this country was really like on 9/12/01 and realize there were many traits that brought together Americans on that day that we should not be proud of and there probably is a better day in american history where the country came together that does not sting of so much bitterness towards other types of people and had everybody huddled together out of fear of terrorism and death. I admire the aspects of 9/12/01 involving in and out of state volunteers gathering in Manhattan to assist with the disaster. However the majority of this country sat on a fucking couch and watched TV all day. The national pride you feel on your couch does not translate to the next guy's couch. I did feel the American values of hustling for that dollar when World Trade Center rubble started appearing on eBay. Should we recall that part of 9/12/01 also or can that be stricken from the record to paint a better picture?
Any website with a real message doesn't need to rely on such gimmicks to attract people. The kind of people that get reeled in about dreams of a hopeful tomorrow like 9/12 are weak willed individuals coerced by marketing, nothing more. They see let's be together like 9/12/01 and they see a Quiznos commercial and get the same thought, "sell me that shit!". If this website has true value, and is not merely handpicked news stories then please let me know. Just don't sell me on that bullshit catchphrase/motto/whatever because I know even you aren't falling for that garbage. Give me the real message, not the poorly conceived analogy (even you have to admit it is).
