omg, what a horrible, outdated psucalc. Try http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp
Using that I see:
System Type: | Single Processor
Motherboard: | High End - Desktop
CPU: | Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2500 MHz Wolfdale-2M
CPU Utilization (TDP): | 85% TDP
RAM: | 2 Sticks DDR2 SDRAM
Video Card: | ATI Radeon HD 4830
Video Type: | Single Card
IDE HDD 7200 rpm: | 1 HDD | ||
DVD-ROM Drive: | 1 Drive | ||
Keyboard and mouse: | Yes
System Load: | 90 % | ||
Recommended Wattage: | 217 Watts |
Feel free to prove that the 420W is still not enough to OC.
The challenge wasn't to find a PC for anyone that is cheaper than a PS3(or <$350) and runs Fallout 3 better. Anyone actually considering getting to meet this challenge themselves is certainly capable of building the PC and installing Linux, and thanks to that can most definetly do so thanks to the OP's suggested hardware. The removal of Windows gives plenty of room for extra cables&fans.
Oh and the CPU does have a heatsink, hence the "boxed." Or are you looking at a different http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?threadid=1267467 than me where it doesn't say 2. Get boxed Intel CPU E5200"
