We have socialized medicine in Canada ,and we on average live four years longer than americans. Care is provided to everyone at half the cost per capita compared to the us even though in the us not everyone recieves care. In 2005, Canada spent 9.8% of GDP on health care, or US$3,463 per capita. In 2005, the United States spent 15.2% of GDP on health care, or US$6,347 per capita. If you truly cared about your fellow american you would want them to recieve the care they need and not what they can afford.
You really should get stricter gun controls. Drugs go down from canada, while illegal firearms come up. |
Socialized health care is better then what we have today. No question. But socialized health care is worse then what we could have.
People who are against socializing health care don't want to just keep it the way it is. Everyone realizes it's gone horribly wrong.
