You are picking examples that suit your argument. For HD gaming anyways... You are picking the bloated games...kinda like if you were taking holywood blockbuster movies and asking "is this really a good movie?". Well no...but shit blows up.
There is fun stuff out there that would be a kickass experience despite the graphics (halo wars, ninja blade come to mind from recent titles on the 360)
Also, the fact you are saying the "ps2 exerience" makes me laugh as people used to make rants like this about the PS2 when it came out and saying it was ruining the "dreamcast fun experience".
