Should the United States ban a Japanese "rape simulat

Would you find it more acceptable if there was a reason or a logic?
That's the cheap varnish that violent content producers put over the rough texture underneath.

They say "it's world war two, and this is a nazist you're torching with a flamethrower" and you're ok with that.
They say "you're shooting this cop in the face, but he's a corrupt bastard" and you're ok with that. They say "this human-like being you're maiming with a chainsaw is really an evil alien" and you're ok with that.

Face it: it's crass titillation of a dark instinct. Every reason and logic and moral doesn't change the fact that you're enjoying it because you feel cool and powerful and in control when the blood spurts everywhere.
It's pornography. The fact that you say that you want a plot in your porn movies doesn't change its nature.

 

I'm not ok with any of that. However, when you start lumping all of these games into the same category and labling them a type of violent blood porn comparable to a rape SIMULATOR that you call 'SILLY', it just kinda blows my mind. Especially with all of the examples you provided.

I'm not questioning the fact that killing people in games is terrible. However, as sad you may think it, all of the violent, mainstream games I've played have certain justifications for player actions. Usually it's something like saving the world from evil, downing a corrupt organization, bringing down criminals, etc.

In this rape simulator, that's it. You've got to play this game knowing that you're not doing any of the above. You're forcing yourself on innocent people for enjoyment only. You may think it's the same as shooting a corrupt cop or blowing away alien scum, but I think differently. The day a game is released where the entire focus is on tortuing an innocent person to death is the day I make a statement such as yours.

Btw, why should the mere possession of such material be a crime? If you did not pay for it and don't expose minors to it you're not financing child exploitation nor traumatizing anyone. It's between you and your demons.

 If this game is banned, it will get more attention, it will get more downloads on the internet, etc. As it is right now, this game is probably pretty hard to find if no major retailers sell it online or on site. Any sicko that really wants to play the game could probably find it and buy it.

If you're talking about child pornography laws...ban all of it! If it's out there and legal, that'd put a lot more children in danger. I'm thankful my country does not tolerate it.
