Hmm. I get the impression that the devs aren't actually basing their projections on anything other than an old saying that goes " the greater the wind that blows unto your sails, the faster will you return to port". I just don't see these kind of tv's suddenly taking off just like that. Not to mention that hw companies like Sony and MS would have to create powerful enough machines to actually pull this off.
And what about developement costs for games that would utilize this? I don't think that most devs would apply this if the costs were too great, especially with todays abnormaly high developement costs.
