Looking back, this game was hyped, advertised and reviewed very well. This was the first of many games Wii fans were sheering for as to show these types of games sell well on the wii. But, if I have to wait until 2010 to claim this game was a success, what is it now?

MadWolrd got the occasional mention on threads, didn't make it into any site's most important games of 2009 lists, and most predictions for sales of it were in the 500,000 range so I'm not sure how hyped the game was ... Its marketing was a great improvement over what we saw from games like No More Heroes, but it was still a very targeted campaign which (mostly) ran on small networks on off-peak hours so its not like it was a major campaign ... It has been reviewed well (average review score of about 85%) but it will probably not even be in the list of the top 10 highest reviewed Wii games of 2009 so I'm not sure how much the reviews will factor into sales.

Now, anyone who has paid attention to this game knows that it is very short and (potentially) not worth the $50 purchase price, there are issues and it can be very repetitive, it has a very distinctive artistic style (which could hurt sales), and it is a pretty niche genre ... Why don't you consider these factors when analyzing its sales?
