@tkc - Actually, its not the truth, when you have several 3rd party games selling over a mil units on the Wii. This dev is upset that a half-arsed port of his didn't do well on the Wii, that's really all it is. With his numbers on profitability for Wii titles, he is horribly off the target, which shows that he is inexperienced.
As for Nintendo's advertising, the core markets don't need advertising for Nintendo IP. They await Smash Bros, Mario, Zelda, Metroid games. These games are guaranteed to sell even with minimal advertising. As for the 3rd parties, its on their own shoulders to advertise their "core" games better. COD:WaW is a good example of good advertising paying off, with the game selling over 1 mil units.
