I honestly don't see how any one of the big 3 can do worse than they did last year.
Microsoft should actually have some worthwhile new announcments this year with Forza Motorsport 3 and whatever the hell Rare is working on. Combine that with new Halo 3: ODST, Alan Wake, and Mass Effect 2 information and a slew of new XBLA games and they're pretty solid. Also, we'll almost definitely be getting our first real look into Modern Warfare 2.
Nintendo should improve simply because they can't get much worse. Anything Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, F-Zero or Kirby related would pretty much instantly make it better than last year's snooze fest.
Sony's conference is the one I'm personally most excited for. New gameplay demonstrations and trailers for God of War III, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, M.A.G., Heavy Rain are all likely enough to wet most peoples appetites, but when you add the likely revelation of a Gran Turismo 5 release date, and new announcments likely including Team ICO's next project, Twisted Metal and the next Metal Gear Solid game, it all seems like too much. And that's not even taking PSP or PSN into account.

I pretty much agree with that 100%. I'm most excited about Sony's conference too, I'm really hoping for Syphon Filter on the PS3 to be announced.
