This sounds very similar to the Kojima refuses to deny MGS4 for X360 back in 2007/08.
Game developers get your hopes up and then your hopes are dashed when the truth is revealed and no game is heading for your console system.
I highly doubt Mass Effect 2 will be heading to PS3. Mass Effect did not come out for PS3.
