No, thats not the reason at all. The reason it changes was due to scientific inquiries determining that it wasn't an abnormal mental state that can be cured. It is a naturally occuring phenomenon of a healthy mind. You are welcome to disagree of course, but I have a few degrees and a ton of people who go by the title "Dr." to back me up.
