Hmmm, this still bugs me: how can some of you guys not notice a drop in framerate? I understand you can't see a thing from 60 to 58 or something like that, but below 50... It's practically impossible to not notice it.

Why do people still claim there is no difference between 480p and 1080p?

Which current HD game runs at 1080p?

Even most HD games run below 720p most of the time. It's called upscaling, that's all.

Why are you acting like this is not an issue with current HD games? How about you look at the situation in an unbiased way?

I was talking about movies with that comment, and I think it's ridiculous that you complain about framerates for these amazing looking games.

If I pay you $200 or $400 can you draw 60 frames per second for 10 years? I think not.

Well, that's exactly the problem. I pay big bucks for getting stuff that is supposed to blow my mind. Explain to me why some HD games can pull it off, i.e. Call of Duty 4/5, Ninja Gaiden 2 (there's just one intensive part in the game, and it's on that stairway with a million of enemies coming at you. Epic by the way), etc? Is it the developers trying too hard when they know the current generation of consoles can't handle teh grafx? I mean, the 360 and the PS3 are not PCs (yet)! If you want my opinion, it would be better to remove a few graphic effects just to make the game run well and blow the mind of "Wii boys" like me. You know what I'm saying? If developers can pull it off with last gen hardware, why can't developers do it on the 360 and PS3?

With that said, we've yet to see the final product for GoW III, and I hope it will blow my mind! ^^

Oh, and that bolded part didn't make any sense. o_O

COD4 native resolution is only 600p

and NGII is only 585p

so both games are not even true HD

GOW III is "supposedly" 1080p native so it renders almost double the lines in the above games

but I agree with you that GOW III is still having almost another full year of development
, so you'll never know but I'm hoping it will not dissopoint like GOW I&II
