^ but the majority don't. And the people who buy marijuana... do you even know how cheap that is? apparently not. You can get the money for it by selling off a game you've played through.

Just because marijuana is 'cheap' (Isn't it more costly than tobacco-based cigs?), it doesn't mean that it's a smart thing to do. TW is correct in saying it's moronic, especially with those that complain about income.

Drugs, Tobacco and Alcohol are the 3 WORST things you can buy if you are on a budget, or receiving any assitance. They do not provide any benefit to ones life, other than the store that sells the goods. Because of this, it's a very bad thing to allow if your being assisted by the government.

I've councelled a lot of people as a youth pastor concerning finances. The first thing I always ask is if they smoke, chew, or drink. It's a one-time usage item that is exceedingly expensive, and provides no benefit in the way that any other kind of food would. It serves as a great way to destroy any kind of budget you want to establish: As a smoker or drinker, you will spend very high amounts of money to keep up with the addiction, which leads to financial ruin. In many cases of poverty, it's a major issue that keeps their family in poverty: The mom or dad would rather keep buying their Malboros, Jack Daniels, or Mary Jane, than save the money, budget properly, and get out of debt.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
