GDC 09: God of War will not be locked at 60 FPS

Actually, it depends on how the game drops.  If it drops from 60 to 45 FPS, that will be noticeably bad even though 45 is still great FPS.  That's why most console games lock at 30.

Note, I'm not saying God of War III will do that, I'm just saying that's the danger you face when you doni't lock the FPS on a console.

You're full of it. You wouldnt notice that change because 45 is still silky smooth.
