"u think that the 60gb ps3's are more reliable than the newer versions of the 360's". I know this queary was not directed at me, but hell yes. Do even a modicum of research into E-74 errors, and you will see the disparity between the PS3 and 360 failure rates is still in full effect. There's a new-ish article about the rise of E-74 over at Joystiq.

Speculate much?  I can speculate too!  I have heard dozens of stories on here about blu-ray player failures so it goes both ways.  Deffinately more blu-ray deaths than E-74 ones, atleast from what I can remember.

Both are relatively reliable so I don't know why we have to go down this street again.  Jeez.

Are you for real? Speculation? Yeah, there's no hard data or any information to even make a supposition. I'm sure the E-74 article and all the well documented problems with the 360 hardware is mearly conjecture, to say nothing for RROD. Although I am shocked that the gaming press, and gamers themselves, haven't latched onto the fact that you've read about DOZENS of stories about failing Blu-Ray players. On top of all that, the qeustion was posed, so I answered. If you believe "both are fairly reliable", you must be ignorant.
