To me it has the worst one after the first FF. FFX-2 has the best one and FFXIII improves on that.
The big difference that FFXII had was that it was impossible to give commands to each party member (only if you played strictly turn-based without gambits -> gets very boring after a while), it was like KotOR, but with the stupid gambits that took the classic party control away. I hope FFXIII lets you control each character individually and depending on the time gauge of the party execute party commands. Simply an improved Chrono Trigger battle system, that´d be awesome.
