It all depends on what price they offer. If it's significantly cheaper than buying a 360/PS3/gaming PC and games for it, and it allows people to play games with better graphics, it may start gaining a lot of supporters. There's nothing Microsoft or Sony can do to stop it short of finding some way to destroy the company.

I mean, would you rather pay $200-$400 for a console with 3/4-year old hardware or $0-$100 for a PC program/TV dongle which allows you to play many 3rd party games with better graphics?

This of course assuming they can solve all the technical problems first. If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised to see Microsoft actually purchasing this company.
