Say that, hope everyone else keeps walking/leaves us alone, and then asks her is the best choice? That sounds better than calling I guess. Is this what you would do?

Just ask to talk to her alone, and you and her can move away from the group to somewhere else. I'm really not getting why this concept is so foreign to you. Have you never managed to pull someone away from a group before or seen it done?

 

I can pull people away easy if its crowed. In an empty hallway, people usually wait up for two people who are dawdling becuase they are in an intense convo. I guess I don't know how to pull people away lol

 

The other people are allowed to hear that you're pulling her away. If they're not complete assholes, they won't follow you.

Just say "Hey. Can I talk to you alone for a second?" Naturally she'll then follow you away from the group. When you're at an appropriate distance, just ask her out to the prom.
