It's just a bunch of nonsense. Until all modern consoles are download only the gaming industry has to deal with the resale market. You shouldn't feel bad about buying used games and then reselling said game back when you're done with it.
You buy a game new because you want it in perfect quality, and id suggest you only ever want buy special editions new anyway, or because you want to play it at release. Otherwise it makes more sense to buy used.
If a game is that good then you will be forced to buy new anyway because all the used copies are already bought and everyone who owns it keeps it.
