Even I disagree with this. That's the point of Watchmen... Who's the bad guy? Who's the good guy? The entire concept of good and evil is thrown out the window in favor of allowing the viewer/reader to decide for themselves.
Other than doing a better job of showing the reasons for Ozymandias' actions, I think Snyder did a pretty decent job of dealing with that part of the story.
